Go outside and play!

Why I, a computer programmer, am not going to let my (now 20-month-old) daughter use a computer until she absolutely must.

Have you ever read Clifford Stoll? He had a lot to say on that topic in "High-Tech Heretic: Why Computers Don't Belong in the Classroom and Other Reflections by a Computer Contrarian." You've gotta start with "The Cuckoo's Egg," though, to get the back story. It's a fascinating read.
