Brokeback not broke

You either buy into this tale of men in love or you join the ranks of those who've been snickering during the movie's prerelease trailers, and who can be divided into the insecure, the idiots, or the insecure idiots.

Ken Tucker "reviews" the movie Brokeback Mountain.

BROKEBACK WAS NOT "BEST PICTURE" MATERIAL. IT WAS A GAY MOVIE FOR STRAIGHT PEOPLE. PLAIN AND SIMPLE AND THOSE TWO ACTORS WERE GOOD BUT DID NOT CONVINCE ME AS BEING GAY. WHAT WAS UP WITH THOSE AWFUL ACCENTS? HOW CAN A MOVIE ABOUT TWO MEN IN LUST WHO LIE FOR 20 YEARS TO THEIR WIVES BE VOTED BEST PICTURE OF THE YEAR?

"CRASH" WAS IN YOUR FACE, PROVOCATIVE AND ENTERTAINING. BEST PICTURE? YOU KNOW THE ANSWER!

Seeing as I saw only one of the "Best Picture" nominees ("Munich"), no, actually I don't know the answer. :)
