Chocolate during Lent

It's fun to sometimes check out the search terms that bring people to my blog. A couple days ago, someone entered into Google "did the lord say it's ok to eat chocolate for lent on weekends" and somehow ended up here.

To answer the question: no. :)

And that reminds me. Since I have a couple days until Lent begins for us Eastern Orthodox, I've got some chocolate eating to do.

I thought dark chocolate was okay during Lent; it was the milk chocolate, i.e. the dairy-based stuff, that we had to avoid.

Yes, yes, you are correct. My view is occluded by my unnatural obsession with milk chocoate. I'll have to investigate this dark chocolate you speak of.

But I was still technically correct as the Lord did not say chocolate was okay. ;)

It appears Hershey & Nestle dark chocolates contain milk fat. Boo.
